This is a great crockpot chicken noodle soup, with chicken, onions, carrots, celery, and noodles.
* 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pounds chicken pieces
* 4 cups water
* 4 cups chicken broth
* 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
* 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste, depending on saltiness of broth
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
* 1 leek or small onion chopped
* 1 carrot, chopped
* 2 stalks celery, chopped
* 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
* 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram or basil
* 1 bay leaf
* 6 ounces noodles
Place all ingredients except noodles in the Crock Pot. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Remove chicken and bay leaf from pot; take meat from bones, dice, and return to broth, and add the noodles.Cook another hour or until noodles are done (about 1/2 hour on high). Or, cook the noodles separately and add them just before serving.

Well I could help you with everything but the noodles, are you sure you want to go there? Brine a whole chicken, roast it, eat what you want and put the carcass in a pot.Add water to barely cover add "better than bouillon " chicken flavor and simmer until the carcass is falling apart. remove the chicken let cool and remove all the meat from the bones. Let the broth cool. The next day add chopped up carrots celery, onion and garlic. Other vegges if you like. after they are soft add back in the meat and adjust the seasoning. Always better to back off the salt until you have you dish ready to serve because you can always add but not take it away. At this point I would add some packaged noodles and cook until done. Serve and enjoy.

Chef Caprial Pence has an amazing chicken noodle soup recipe in one of her books, it was also picked up by one of the companies (I think pacific or imagine) that produces the cartons of chicken broth. Look for it, it's worth the effort. I've made it a bunch of times, but loaned my book to a friend.
I can actually reccomend all her books, I've got several (except the one my friend won't give back...grrr....) and have tried many of her recipes. They are worth every penny you spend on them and more, she doesn't just give you the recipes, she tells you the why and how things work. She's the only chef I've gotten excited about in a while.

All fruits are fruit and vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which is employed for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually selected far too soon. Some are rocks, many are wrong. Some of the fruit and vegetables are typical right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
