Yep... and for a Navy guy it took some time getting used to praying for ground-pounders and grunts !! Just kidding !!

I did more than that. I got involved. Praying should be "in addition to" not "Instead of." I became more involved after my military retirement by volunteering in the State Guard and a FEMA emergency management (CERT) Team. I took EMT training and prepared a 72 hour kit for all my family members. I also take pleasure in knowing that the troops I trained during my 20 Army career have ALL come back from Iraq, safe and sound. I also make it a daily habit to pray for all the honest citizens over there who have been caught up in this damned war. One thing I have learned in my 20+ years in the Military, it's the "little guys" who pay the most in times or war.
