I don't know where to get that kind of information to keep my boys up to their level of education. Especially with the Reading and Math.

Here is a link to an outline of Kentucky law put out by the Home School Legal Defense Association:

As far as following the public school curricullum goes: You can find out what is covered at each grade level in your district by contacting the district office, but you don't have to follow it.

Requirements for homeschooling are different and most homeschool curriculums will actually lead to your children being ahead of their publicly schooled counterparts.

Each school district will have a set criteria for the grades. You most likely registered the kids with the local school district (we did here) and they can give you the equivalency for each grade level.

It was my experience that you can get a criteria from the school itself, the principal gave me a criteria in case I had to go back to public school I would be on the same level or better.

This hopefully has everything you need. If the school standards aren't there, look for the Program of Studies on the Kentucky Education main page.
