I am deploying to Kuwait in Feburary for about 10 months and when I return I would like to attend the University of Memphis. I am currently a resident of Alabama. I need information on how to get in-state tuition in TN.

according to Univ. of TN website, u can get in state tuition under certain conditions (but it doesn't say what..)..When I moved to MO all I had to do was get a MO DL and I got it u will probably need to contact them and ask them what u need to do.. They have several campuses so any of them should be able to tell u.. Can u get to TN now. Get a PO box and that will help establish residence in TN.

TN might offer something to returning vets that will allow them to have instate tuition. Also I don't know if there are deals like this in the south, but in the mountain west but residents of say WY can go to schools in UT for 1.5 in state tuition. Which is far less than out of state.

IF you still can you might want to change all of your stuff to tn before you get deployed. Banks, drivers liscenses, and the state of residence the military has on file. I don't know, it seems like the miliatry and the state would have some more information on this.

Good luck in Iraq and Thank you for your service to our country.

YOu will need to have residency here in Tn. Not sure of the length of time. Contact the college and ask them how to go about proving that.
