If I act like I don't care - what Will he think?
I want to be his friend and talk about certain stuff but if I pretend stuff doesnt bother me, ex: other girls, etc.

we do sort of want you to want us, just a bit, even if we don't want you back. our best friends should get jealous and not want to talk about our other interests so much, it makes you human.
BTW, if you're pretending that stuff doesn't bother you, and it does, it isn't really making you that much of a friend. that sort of starts you two down the line or perhaps he should approach you and start pursuing you, so the real question is whether or not you don't want more, but aren't ready to deal with it because you're supposed to be his best friend.
that "best friend" stuff is going to backfire, you two need to talk!

It sounds like you have feelings for him. Why do you want to only be his friend? A true friend does care about the things that are going on by the way. Being distant about subjects won't help anything I don't think.

if you act like his friend you'll get treated like a friend, at that point you have no say in what he does
