Okay...it makes me feel better, lol. When I am lonely I have someone to talk to. I have somewhere to go when I get done with this life. Heck, I can blame God if something goes wrong. Are those logical reasons???
Is there any LOGICAL reason not to believe in God?

Well, in Pascal's Wager, he said that believers have nothing to lose by believing and everything to gain (heaven, eternal life) if they turn out to be right. But I think that anyone who would base their faith on Pascal's Wager must not place a very high value on their own rationality. I tend to believe things that seem to be true based on evidence and experience, not because they make me feel good or what I might get out of it. If you ask for a purely logical reason to believe in religion, you'll never find one. And most believer do not have good debating skills. That is because it isn't about proving you're right, just thinking that you are. Some people call it faith and see it as a virtue. I call it as self-delusion and escapism, and see it as a mental weakness, part of the great human flaw to wish for things that do not exist. Many people embrace this fallacious way of thinking and function just fine, so I let them be. But any way of thinking that places faith ahead of logic doesn't appeal to me.

No all religions have tools to conform, not question and disprove it's existence. It is a chain people like to wear and conformity is more embraced than individual thinking. The knowledge is often inbreed. And fear of some punishment is always a part of it.
Escape fear and seek truth. Until then you do are a puppet. It is because of their religion they cannot actually seek proof to disprove it so they can only seek proof to prove it. Only the brave can break this chain. There is always a battle of whos is more powerful and true.

Well is there a LOGICAL reason not too? Think about it this way, the world had to come from SOMETHING. Okay, you say a big bang, so, where did this "bang" come from. Nothingness does not explode and create life, so how did THAT get their? It just "IS" how can something just "be". It makes more since if you believe things are spiritual, you know.
--nothingness----nothingness--nothingness----BOOM----beginings of life-----life-----current day life that is balanced together

Yes, if you consider the multiple ancient prophecies that have come to pass.. but in any case, faith transcends logic. It appeals to the spirit, rather than the the soulish mind.

Well logically, if given the choice, no one would want to burn in the firey torment of hell for all eternity.
edit: kcuhp_uoy, it's really funny that you say that because the first part is true, only you have it backwards...lol sad. There is an expression, the truth will set you free...ever hear that? Think abou it...lol well, ttyl.

There is no logical reason to follow something that controls the mind. We are here to seek knowledge and not follow the leader.
Religion is MIND CONTROL it removes the need and want to become wise.
