I really want a girlfriend. I'm 27 and lonely not desperate. I'd love her, spoil her, never hurt her, never pressure her and just be an old fashioned romantic to her. So why is it that i'm single and guys who treat girls like crap have girls queing up to get with them? Why?

Maybe your not letting others see this side of you....Maybe your to quiet or shy...Have a little more confidence and put yourself out more...You will eventually be noticed...and you dont want to get a girl that is into being treated like crap...Because you will end up being too nice for that type which will end up breaking up with in ...Good Luck!

Probably because you're coming off as desperate or something like it even if you don't feel that you are. The guys who treat girls like crap are often confident (if not OVERLY confident) and that's really what a girl looks for when she walks into say, a bar or something. These crappy guys will often be the ones to start up a conversation with a girl too which a lot of girls like. You should work on your confidence more and attempt to exude it when you are out and about looking for love.

How about this..
Why do you want a girlfriend? Just because you are lonely? I would say get a cat or something. "Looking" for a girlfriend is the worst way to try to find a girlfriend. You also are sorta selling yourself as a pretty sensitive guy.. why not go to places where it would be easy to just talk to a girl rather than get "all up on her". Girls can smell desperation and needy-ness a mile away.
Just be yourself and someday you will find someone

because a lot of single girls feel like crap. They get the message from their family and the media that they are worthless unless they are this or that.
Any after we hear and see these messages 30,000 times we might start to believe them. So, since so many women feel unworthy they seek out men who will treat them like crap.
Dont feel bad...its not you. Its just how it is. Be patient and try to look for someone with some self esteem.

Oh it's the whole bad boy thing that attracts shallow women,I have been quilty of it myself treat them mean keep them keen bla bla bla.
I just know there is so many single beautiful people out there women and men who are all alone but could be together and never meet.

you're still idealistic about how relationships work. you can do all of those things, but you need to find a way to bring that out, slowly, cautiously, seeing how the other person might respond to it first. at 27 and you're dating someone like, 23, 24 whatever they probably aren't necessarily ready for all of that.

nowadays, a guy like you is "too good to be true". Maybe, most girls of today would think twice of having you as their partner because they think that you are not really what you are showing them.
