Because it wasn't done by humans.....
It was done by monkeys....
Humans didn't exist at that time.....

God didn't mention it because he had no idea, see, God was in the middle east, not in France.

God didn't dictate Genesis. It's basically a collection of Hebrew creation myths, collected, edited, and redacted over a long period.
FYI, thinking Christians (the majority), unlike fundamentalists, don't think God "dictated" the Bible.

Genesis was never meant to be a history book or a science book it is a spiritual book. Using it in anyway other way then spiritually is silly.
