Mortuary science deals with burial practices, body preservation, preparation, and restoration.

As for coronary science, are you referring to a CORONER? A Coroner, or Medical Examiner is a Doctor who performs autopsies to determine cause of death. They will investigate a death, but they don't do any of the embalming, or other things that Funeral Directors do.

Mortuary Science, or Funeral Directors, is a 2 year Associates degree and a State certification.

Coroners are actual Medical Doctors. They have to complete Pre Med, Med school, and a Forensic residency, where they work on autopsies and determining causes of death.
