Your screen needs "Degaused" (demagnetized) You may have speakers close to your tv or something with an unusual electric current. (lamps, steroes)

Most newer tv's have a degausing mechanism inside.

Remove all electric items from around it, turn in off and leave it off for more than 20 minutes then wipe it with a lightly damp cloth (static) and turn it back on.

If it still has green spots you'll have to take it to a tv repar guy for a quick degausing or, as another poster suggested, experiment with very low concentration magnets.

Degausing magents are sort of expensive but you probably have magnets in your house already. (I once had to tape a refrigerator magnet to the side of a tv to straighten out the field!)
