He has a certain "non-existence" and "fictional quality" about him.

If I'm not sure about it--if I really didn't think I knew what I was talking about--then why would I bother to answer? You want to only hear from people who are pretty sure they don't have any answers?
That's an odd and poorly phrased question...do you want to know what makes God peculiar or what God finds peculiar in the universe? Your question is a little vague.
If it is the former, God is the all-powerful creator.
If your question is the latter, then the answer is YOU.

Comment, question:
Are you the same guy, that demands something with the answers we may all give? Why would you not want an answer from someone who may BE sure about it, are have you already ruled out the fact that is even possible? If so, you may be mistaken.
Answer:
God is unique, in that there is literally none other like him. He is outside of time, space and matter. He is the God of everything, and yet he cares about your day, and knows the number of hairs on your head. When we chose to go against him, he still loved us enough to die for our sins, while we were yet sinners. That was when Christ died for us. Yes, he is a bit peculiar, and I love it.

God is "wholly other" so everything in Him is peculiar to Him, yet by Faith we believe we are created in His image and are thus similar to the eternally different.

God is like himself alone. He is the most unique because nothing is like him.
