Why? Because it makes them feel superior. And because the vast majority of Christians have never studied the subject, they just go by what their leaders tell them, and the leaders need a "hot button issue" to keep their followers.

I saw a cartoon a few years ago. Two men are standing next to a sign, which says: "Welcome to Heaven. Please keep your religion to yourself." One of the men says to the other, "Oddly, that's why it's so peaceful here."

Because they view homosexuality as a hot button issue that will draw people to their ranks and is easy to attack. And, to answer your second question, no they should not mind their own business. If they are true believers they should be minding the business of poverty and hate. Christ talked a good deal about the poor. He ministered to them and encouraged us to do the same. More people die from poverty every year than from abortions. Poverty is a problem that really does destroy. If the same people that get so rabid about homosexuality would attack poverty we could actually make some real headway against this problem.

It is my belief that there is nothing more beautiful than seeing two people together who love each other, and have pledged to care for one another come what may. I don't care if they are straight or gay. As a married man (of 27 years) with grown children, having someone else find that love in their lives (regardless of their orientation) in no ways threatens my marriage. That can only be threatened from within. I can also picture no greater gift to any child than to be raised in a nurturing loving home (gay or straight). I do not get the so called "Christian" efforts against homosexuality while the same people ignored the message that Christ actually gave us.

Why are so many people obsessed with Christians and what they believe and why don't they mind their own business?

The answer is the same as it was yesterday, the day before, last week, and will be tomorrow. Homosexuality is a sin...so is gossiping. Christians (even if they do not want to believe it) are not to sit in judgement of sinners, that is God's job. We are to love one another...and one anothers, even if they are homosexuals. Loving someone does not mean we have to like or approve of what they do.

Most christians do mind their own business. As a christian I don't know a single christian that takes time out of their schedule to go to a homosexuals house and "get in their business". It is none of my business and what you want to do in your life is your business, but don't ask me what I think, or instigate debate and then say I need to mind my own business. When I am asked for my opinion then I am being asked to get in the business of the one doing the asking. God Bless....

What are you so obsessed with pedophiles? Why does it bother you that old men are having consentual sex with 8 and 10 year old girls? Sure, the girls are young, but if they want to do it, they get rewards for doing it, just like any consenting adults get rewards from it. So what is so wrong with that? Shouldn't you mind your own business instead of others?

Think about it...

They should let it alone. There is enough going on out there in that great big world of ours that they should be more concerned about.
God gives everyone the freedom of choice, if that choice is wrong, they are the ones that will pay the price. " Remove the ought from your own eye then you can see clearly to remove it from another persons eye'. This kind of criticism is rooted in hate or ignorance. Unless it is done out of love and understanding You are to pray for those that you feel are doing wrong. The Bible states the sins that will keep us out of heaven . May be that we all should search and read them.Christ plainly stated that he came not into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved.

Apparently, people have their beliefs. If people would like to be uncouthly degrading and say snide things like your first answer, then they obviously have nothing else better to do. Now, to your question. Christians are "obsessive" about us homosexuals because "SUPPOSEDLY" in the bible, there is a statement saying "One man shall not lay with another man" and "Sodomy is an unforgivable sin." The Christians that strictly follow the bible find us "twisted" and "wrong", but that is their beliefs. I myself got kicked out of a prestigious church, whence coming out. So, all I can say is that don't listen to the Christians, those are THEIR beliefs, and if they follow the bible so strictly, then WHY on earth would they break a "Commandment" by hurting someone else..?
Hope this helped.

Correction, its not only Christians that are obsessed with homosexuals. What does make it a difficult subject to broach is that the Christian Bible states clearly that homosexuality is abhorrent to God, but that we should still never judge or act condescendingly towards them. Its something a majority of people (while saying they are Christians) struggle with.

Why are homosexuals obsessed with Christians? Shouldn't they keep their business to themselves instead of inflicting it upon others?

True Christians are not obsessed with homosexuals per say, we are concerned with them leaving their deviant lifestyle and becoming Christians so they can seek salvation.

Read the book of Leviticus. The answers lie therein.

Any Christian pastors, ministers or priests who are gay are NOT Christians and they will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Listen, I don't know what you want to hear, but it certainly must not be the truth! Christians are not haters of Gay people. We love all people! We just hate the sin! Gay marriages are a blasphemy under God. There is not way that God would ordain sin. You claim to be born this way? Be for real! These are lies brought onto you by satan, and you must rebuke them in the Name of the Lord if you wish to be redeemed! I'm not saying you're a bad person, you're just confused! If you believe in God, follow His directions! Look I'm not judging you or anyone else. This is just my invitation to you to find Jesus and let Him take control of your life. God Bless You!
