i assume he is doing this while left home alone. the best solution to this problem is a crate for when you are not home. it will save your walls, and it could save your dog (what if he gets through to electical wires?) he could have separation anxiety, which often results in destructive behavior when the dog is left alone. it could also just be boredom! if crate training is not an option for you, the only thing i can suggest is give him something constructive to do while you are not there. get a kong, jam it full of tasty stuff, freeze it, and give it to him before you leave. make sure he TIRED before you leave him alone. a tired dog is a good dog. do a search about separation anxiety and see if any of the symptoms seem to fit your dog. if not, it is probably just boredom, and i really think in this case that a crate is the best solution to your problem!
also, you can reprimand him for digging the walls if he does it while you are there, but please don't punish him when you come home to destruction. he won't know why you are angry, and may just associate you coming home with bad things!

I really have had a pit bull for 9 years and only for destiny reference they are different ideal canines you could own. Anyyway the way you stop your canines from chewing the walls is get him a cumbersome and not uncomplicated chew toy which will take him a good month to flow by. then next play with him lots in case you position on him out hes not likely to save on chewing the walls he's probable basically bored. yet extraordinarily he's a domestic dog and ultimately he will strengthen out of it :)

Play!!! Pits are don't carry out destructive behaviors unless trained to or bored. I'm guessing he's bored they love to run, fetch, play Frisbee, go on walks anything active. they are high energy dogs run with him until he's tired and no more holes in the wall.
