Don't use rubbing alcohol to wash your face, but put some on a cotton ball after you've washed and use it as a toner. It works great!

Many of the facial and moisturizing products we use contain a little alcohol. Alcohol evaporates quickly, which helps the lotion to "dry" on your skin. People with super dry skin should use creams and thicker moisturizing products, to prevent that drying effect.

As stated here, alcohol is very drying. If you live in a cold weather region, it might be too much for your face to use it at this time of year. However, you could use a little to clean just the extra oily areas of your face....like the nose, forehead and chin...if you tend to have oily skin.

You can use it as a toner. Wash your face with a mild soap, then put a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and wipe it over your face. I've done it before and it really works. Clears your skin up fast!

I used to use it when I was younger on blemishes, but then I also put neosporin over the blemishes so that the skin wouldn't get overly dry and it would help speed healing and prevent infection.

But just as an overall astringent, I would be careful about drying out the skin, especially with the cold weather already causing over-dryness. Find a good moisturizer, preferably one without mineral oil (it ages the skin).

numerous questions come to my recommendations as I study your question. First, how previous are you? previous 25? if so, you've a medical situation called rosacea. this will not be able to be treated with over the counter pimples drugs and cleansers. 2d, have you ever checked for hypersensitive reactions. earlier you take advantage of something on your face, attempt it on the interior your wrist and observe once you've a reaction. in case you do, do not even attempt it on your face as you've an hypersensitivity to at least something contained in the product. If all else fails, that's time to be certain a dermatologist, a time-honored practitioner that makes a speciality of treatment of the floor.

I tried it back when I was a teenager, and I think it made me break out more but then again I tried just about everythiong, people commonly think it works because of the smell in most facial cleansing astringents is almost identical to rubbing alchohol but I wouldn't bet it works..

Maybe using it as a toner would work. Not washing your face in it as it would dry out your skin. Use a good moisturizer afterwards!

My sister does that. The rubbing alcohol cleans off all the dirt in the pores of your skin. Just try. You'll notice all the dirt that has accumulated on your skin without you realizing it.

yep i have done it before. i dont do it on a regular basis but only when i have a pimple or two that i want to get rid of. It can dry your face out pretty bad though so you need to be sure that you have a good moisturizer to use.

Don't do it, your fash needs moisture. Only apply it to blemishes not the whole face. Washing your face with a mild face wash and moisturise with a light moisturiser and then add it to blemishes or you will kill your skin.
