If a relationship is over, do you have to expose every feeling or desire that was hidden?

that may be one sign that the relationship is over to begin with, or a sign that it is changing. without exposing the hidden feelings or desires there isn't much of a relationship to begin with. are you talking about exposing it to the other person in the previous relationship, or to the new person you're with. if the latter, that may not be so good of an idea because you're destroying the ideas they had about who you were to begin with, and may not find you so attractive before.
