I have one but it's in German, so I don't know the instructions. I don't want to hurt my cat nor myself using this product. It's one of those band things that you fasten around the cat's neck and it's supposed to get rid of fleas and parasites. Anyone know how to use this thing and how to dispose of it? Thanks.

Ah yeah, flea collar. Why is it a bad idea?

Flea collars aren't very effective at all at preventing/killing fleas. They can also have toxic effects on the cat due to the chemical that is used (permethryn/pyrethryn).

The safest and most effective solution is to use a topical solution that you can get from your vet (Frontlnie, Advantage, Revolution). These products are more expensive than a flea collar, but they are much safer.

You just put it around his neck and cut to fit. They are good for the flea problem. You will need to watch for a allergic reaction for a few days.If he starts scratching and loosing hair take it off.Sure beats them being tormented by fleas........
