There is this guy that I like and I have told him kinda I said that my step-brother said for me not to like him and that I had told him I'll like him if I want. He just smiled and laughed. My friend says he talks about me and said he said that he likes me. But I gave him my # and he didn't call. I asked him if he had a girlfriend and he said yea so I said oh I thought they were lieing to me and looked away kinda sad. But I seen his face and he smiled a half smile. Is he playing hard to get or does he really not like me is my bestfriend just saying that so I feel better and am happy??? Tell me the truth no stuiped stuff.

If your step brother said that you should be careful with this guy, maybe there is some truth to it. Maybe he knows something about this guy that you don't. Try by talking to your step brother and see what he knows about him. His friends might have said that he likes you but there is no real way to tell except from this guy himself. You made the first move by giving him your # all you can do now is sit back and wait. The half smile could be quite a few things, He is interested in you, He's not interested in you, He's with someone and is faithful, He's just being a Jacka$$. Take your time and get to know the facts about this guy before you leap into it. In time his true intentions will be revealed.

You gave him your # and made your interest clear. If he's not biting, back off, be patient and get on with having fun in your life without him. The more fun you are having, the more appealing you'll be to him and other available guys.

A female who seems overly keen is perceived as needy and likely to be too clingy in a relationship. They are also most likely to wind up with a controlling mate, who perceives their neediness as weakness.

The confident female who is having fun and is happy with her own company is never lacking for keenly interested guys.

Either he's having another relationship and feels sorry for you/feels something for you but cannot get out of the relationship he has now, he has a relationship with guys (which makes everything in here half true), or he's just really, really shy.

He trying to see if your cool with him having a girlfriend and still hooking up. Stay clear unless he breaks up with her and you know for sure he has.
