I just asked a similar question...When i went to the doctors back in October, she told me to get in 30-60 minutes a day doing cardio. Walking at a semi-fast pace is considered cardio, as long as your working up a sweat. I have been walking everyday on the treadmill and I've gone down about 15 lbs. So, stick with it. Also make sure you're eating right, drinking lots of water and getting at least 8 hrs of sleep. You should lose weight. Good luck...

Yes. It's ideal to burn off more calories than you eat. But, if you eat a lot, you'll still lose weight, just not as quickly. My friend exercised without dieting. She lost about 5 pounds a month. That doesn't seem like much, but within a year, she lost 60 lbs.

yes, along with diet! If you keep your calories down! I lost 50 pounds by keeping my calaries to 1,200 to 1,300 and walked 45 minutes 2x aday,I steadly lost 2 pounds a week! You usally loose more in the beginning! I heard on tv yesterday that they think diet coke could be a reason why people have trouble loosing weight! the jury is still out on that! Keep count of your calories and the more you walk the better your chance to loose!

This depends on what else you are doing. Weight loss occurs when the number of calories taken in is less then the number burned. If nothing else, you'll have a healthier heart!
