I bought 2 pups off of a guy through the website puppyfind.com. I had to have them shipped to me. The shipping is around $200 to $250. Some people will screw you out of the money so you have to watch that. They will tell you that they have a puppy and really not have one. You need to talk to the breeder on the phone and get him to send you alot of different pictures of the pup that you choose. I personally never had a problem getting my dogs online. I would never send my dogs back!! They were just what i wanted!! Some people don't think this is the right thing to do but who cares what other people think!! It's your decision so do what you think is best!!! Good Luck!!

I personally think it's better to visit the dog in person and spend time with the dog so that you can get an idea of that dog fits your lifestyle. I also think it's good to have the dog in person so you can look at their enivorment as well as see the dog's health.

I know that I saw my dog online on petfinder.org and I feel in love with her as son as I saw her picture. When I contacted the shelter they state that adoptions must be made in person because you need to spend time with the dog. So I drove for an hour I think and spent time the dog and adopter her out the same day on the spot. Process took less than 45 minutes.

Buying online is really risky, especially if you will never see the dog in person but through pictures. There are a lot of scams that run online (people purcahse the dog and never recieve the dog, or the dog gets recieved and there are health problems with the dog or the wrong dog, and it can go on an on).

The only way to ship a pet is through an airlines. You can look at various airlines websites and they will let you know their rules and regulations for flying a pet as cargo or on the airplane (Delta, United, US Airways, Northwest, Americna Airlines, just to name a few). Good Luck on your search.

I think it is best to buy a pet in person. Online services go to far when they have you looking for pets to purchase.. If you don't have the time to go down to the pet store or to a breeder to look through the animals and pick out the one that best suits you..then how will you have the time to take care and love them?
5 cat owner here and I have picked out 3 of my cats from the shelter and of course you have to feel out an animals personality to fit you. Online purchases don't do that.

I adopted 2 dogs from a shelter on line through pet finder. Most of the shelters/agencies/rescues use volunteer transporters that bring the dog somewhere relatively local to you, and you pick it up from there. I did most of my dealings on line, but I was also in contact with the rescue via telephone. I never physically saw either one of my dogs before I picked them up from the transport. And I absolutely adore both of them. A friend of mine got his "on line" from a breeder. Airfare was expensive, but he could afford it. Personally, I think you are taking a chance dealing with breeders on line. You don't have a clue how reputable they are. And there are many puppy mills out there that supply so called breeders with their puppies. So basically buyer beware. I know of a "teacup" breeder in Florida that has many lawsuits going on because of getting his pets from puppy mills. I suggest, if you go on line to get a pet, go through a shelter or rescue agency.

I have bought two online. I did not use the shipping method I picked mine up; however, I can tell you to watch for the bait and switch. Use an escro service, if you go to puppyfind.com they have links there to go to an escrow service. It is worth it! People lure you in with your dream dog but what you get is not even close and there is not much you can do about it. You are limited in what you can sue for and the case will be handeled by THEIR court so inorder to sue you will have to go to court in their state. With escrow if it is not what you paid for you let the escrow company know and the breeder does not get their money, they will have to sue you for it.

Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1) you'll get ripped off 2) don't you want to pick out the pet 1st by holding it and get attached first. 3) if bought on line how are you going to ship? ya have to have animal quarantined by vet, checked by vet, signed off by vet before plane flight. 4) Most// again most breeders have a guarantee for 30-90 day against diseases and last but not least why??????

I have a tendency to purchase from distinctiveness puppy shops, because i dont extremely pick to help the chain puppy shops on account that they often get their animals from generators. also, speciality shops have more effective useful producers and food than different shops. I honestly have lengthy gone to walmart once, and positioned that their products seemednquite low-priced, a minimum of at mine. i become searching for toys, yet definitly no longer any style of pellets/food. I regrettably got here upon that they chew toys that they'd, i did not believe. yet i did %. up a kit of treats, and a hideyhouse for my hamster. procuring on line would nicely be significant, in case you'll locate someplace that ships on your section for low-priced, and in case you purchase alot, you are able to likely get a deal. I favor to purchase the food in human being because then you definitely can honestly see what younare procuring, and the suitable in the previous date, and how the food honestly looks. yet it really is basically your determination, and the products that your keep stocks it really is close to you.

I work with a lady who sells them on line and they are great puppies. Some breeds may not be available in your area. It costs about $250.00 to have one shipped so it might be cheaper to fly in and get it and carry it back. Most of the good breeders will have a guarantee with the puppy. Good Luck!

When I bought a pet online, I had to go where it was at and go get it. I wouldn't let an animal be delivered. I just don't trust it for some reason

I have. I payed for the animal via paypal and then it was shipped via the airlines. Some animals must go via airlines but it just depends on what you are wanting.
