Has ISLAM FAILED actually? ... really, REALLY FAILED?!?

Question

In ideal, Islam teaching is quite good. Women are protected, non-moslem are respected.
BUT, in reality, Islam practice is really horrifying. Women and non-moslem are discriminated. Islam governments are nearly totaliterians. Lots of Arabs people or government have unbelievable hatred and prejudice toward Western civilization. Severe I-hate-America-and-Israel syndrome. Blind support to any "Islamic" or "Arabic" countries, no matter how bad/terrible the government is. The list can go on and on but you've got the idea here...!

What's the matter with ISLAM here? Why does it bring lost of misery and terrible thing into this world? Should Islam just be banned for everybody's own sake then?

PS: Remember: I talk about Islam in REALITY, not ideal ISLAM here! So DON'T give any crap about it's written in Koran or according to Surrah or whatever... I will NOT buy that! I want FACTS as the answers, not RUBBISH!! Thank you....

Yes it has failed miserably. Just look at saddam hussein, true muslim drinking wine and killing people. Yes a failed religion. You are right saying people must not state what is written but what IS going on

Muslims, as a whole, have failed, not Islam. You must understand that many Muslims do not like their governments, there are no Muslims government. Most of them are secular. An Algerian general was once quoted saying he would kill every Algerian in order to prevent Muslims from running the country. You cannot just say Muslims have a severe hatred towards America and Israel without exploring the background of the situation. For decades the US has been meddling in Middle Eastern affairs, while Americans get to buy their gas at a couple dollars a gallon, Arabs are still trying to make day to day. I don't know where you got the blind support for terrible governments. A while back under the previous Morocan king, if you said anything about him and you lived in the US, you would somehow end up in a Moroccan prison. You need to be able to differentiate between the practice and the practitioner. America has constantly supported these oppressive regimes, as you can see when they gave weapons to Hussein. The issue is really not that shallow.

first u didn't put into consideration the huam factor , even if u banned islam it won't work cuz it is the ppl 's faith and morals that need to be fixed and not their religion!!

u also didn't mention that in the "western" countries there is " ISLAMOPHOBIA " AND "ARAOPHOBIA" i see ppl ( non muslims)
of different nationalities who want the muslims of their own country to leaaave , what do u say about that?>?

when arabs say we hate america and isreal , they don't mean the ppl they mean the rulers and those who do the terroristic actions and slughtering ppl in iraq and palastile , they hate their policy !!it is politics.

VERY YES islam is good and that is why although many muslims don't do it completely yet the muslim countries have the least rates of rape , thifts , crimes........the list can go forever.
u know why??cuz islam is still there in there spirit , islam came to fix the ppl's morals and faith , it is a pplicable , and it is the solution to make the world better.!!


i think the matter is in u , u misunderstand things , the solution in here is that muslims should apply their religion and understand it rightto do things right ,

non muslims should read more about islam in order not to judge it wrongly, and to know who really the muslims esp in muslim countries think and want , so that they can come to a better understanding ,

yes , it might e the wrong in us "followers" but that doesn't give the right to banned it , i also see some terroritic actions in christianty hindus .... and i don't judge them that way.

My dear, what u have mentioned here is very far away from truth, cause if u have good judgment u would see the rat of crime in the civilized west (specially female rapping) and compare this with the rat in Islamic countries and find out yourself the big difference. I'm not saying that Islamic countries are living in paradise, thins are committed, crime is present etc, but compare my dear, just be fair and compare the statistics.

I live with Muslim and non Muslim. I went to several countries that there are many Muslim and there are only a few Muslim . But I don't see what you said. They work together in peace. Help each other regardless the religion.
But I have been thinking also what you wrote about terrible government, I know this could happen. This makes me believe that we have to separate between Islam and Muslim. Islam, like other religion always teach about honest and peace. But some Muslim , like other religion, don't really understand about their religion. They call their selves Muslim but they don't follow the lesson.
Try to find one Muslim around you that follow his religion and you can find that I am right.

my question to you, what about Muslims that are NOT Arabs, alot of ppl THINK that all Muslims are Arabs, but many are not, nor did they come from the 'Arab' world. so...in other words, please understand that Islam is not for the Arabs, and understand that your idea of Islam bring "lost of misery and terrible things into this world" could be confused with the help of the media, and other grps of people having a bad taste of Islam.

theories always sound good on paper, it is in practice that you see the real payoff. As for talking about it in reality, whose to say? All I can offer for you to do is read extensively on modern literature involving islam. Fiction as well as non-fiction. Read things like, "reading lolita in Tehran," and stuff like that. I've never lived in an area of high islamic belief so I can't say much.
