Probably China. With a population of 1,306,313,812, no one is going to win a war of attrition against them. If nothing else, they could overwhelm with sheer numbers.

Besides, China has the fasted growing economy in the world, and that's what really made the United States a superpower; our economy.

China's military is on the rise, whereas Russia would be lucky to get one month out of their Air Force before spares and supplies dwindled. Their ground vehicles are passable against each other, but with China stealing every bit of Western military technology it can get, they will have the edge soon, if they don't already. The Russian Navy is littered all over the bottoms of its home ports, slowly leaking radioactive waste into the ecosystem. The Russians can barely afford to feed their army, much less field it for a protracted conflict, so I'm guessing China will come out on top if they decide to scrap.

Russia would have to resort to nukes to defeat the Chinese because the Chinese have superior land forces and the Chinese economy could sustain a long land war while Russia would quickly go bankrupt. With no concerns about repercussions over the use of nukes and the correct strategy Russia could win, but why? The Chinese have nothing the Russians want and vice versa; settling grievances about the old border disputes and ideological arguments aren't worth the effort and expense.

China will be the next superpower. Asides from having the most military troops, they are very disciplined. Discipline is what counts when you are on the battlefield.

Russia does not and probably will not have a decent army of troops until it starts to stabilize their economy and the desention caused within the people by their own government cabinet members. Putin has his work cut out for him.

Russia would "win" with nukes, China would "win" with sheer military force. In reality, a war on this scale would drag many other countries in and spur out of control very quickly.

What I know from the news China buys Russian weapons, military vehicles, aircraft and the stuff. I hope they buy all that stuff not to attack Russia but be friends.

I'm going with China, they have a massive number of troops. Even the US against China would be an ugly war.

I believe China, they are a relentless group of people and are totally focused on any task that they are engaged in and they certainly have enough people to get the job done.
