My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 years. I have a 7-year-old son who he has raised during this period of time because his father does not want to be involved. My boyfriend just informed me the other day that he does not think my son belongs to my ex. He says a boy should look like his father and he looks nothing like him. Well my son looks like me! He says he has thought this the entire time. When I tell him there's no way my son belongs to anybody else he acts like he doesn't believe me. I asked if he was wanting me to pursue this issue further and maybe try to get a relationship going with my son and his real dad, get a DNA, or try to get child support but he just says no. Why would he even say this then? I told him this hurt me and he's like oh well, but I don't think think that's his dad. If his dad doesn't do anything for him anyway, what was the point of this comment? I wonder if maybe he's tired of being "daddy" but he says no to this also. Arghhh!!!

I dont know why he said that, maybe he was just in the mood for a argument. Tell him if it bothers him so much, you will get a DNA test and prove to him.And also tell him to grow up and keep his stupid comments to himself.This is your son and your dignity he is talking about, he has no right to say something so disgusting and degrading.

If the child's fathre isn't pushing the issue, why is he? And then you told him that there is no other possiblity and that he's hurting your fellings and he still doesn't care. It looks like he's trying to push you two away, because i can't believe that after 6 years he's just now deciding to say something. If he thought that he should of said it years ago and once you told him there were no other possiblities he should of let it go. If it were me I would ask him if he was trying to call me a liar or a slut, because he's trying to do one or the other.

He is trying to say something but is not being honest with you. I have 3 children and our youngest looks nothing like either of us. I would sit him down and ask him to tell you exactly what is going on. And what if your son had a different father, would your b/f treat him any differently or is he questioning your morality? He needs to lay the cards out for you. good luck

too me, he sounds like he is trying to weasel his way out of assuming his parental obligations..like he doesnt want to support this child, so he is making you seem like a sleep around gal. I'd establish paternity and then nail him for child support because this is what his child deserves, financial support from his father......and the child doesnt always look like the daddy, mamas genes may be stronger than his..good luck

Son's don't have ot look like their fathers. My older brother looks like my mother, and I don't look anything like either of them, I look like my older brother that my mother had from a different marrage. I think he's just insecure because it's not his son.

Your boyfriend isn't worth a rat's anus. He's a turd, a loser, a jerk. Keep him if you want to, but be prepared to spend lots of money on airfresheners cause your man stinks.
