In almost all of his stand up stuff he swears a lot. I have kids watching stuff by him and then the 'f' word fills the air coming from his mouth.

That's pretty much ALL stand up comedians. Robin Williams is not an exception. He's pretty much the rule.

Big potty mouth....that's funny.
So many stand-ups feel they have to use the f word every other sentence...the jokes would be just as funny (or not), if they left it out...I find it a total turn off (literally turn off the show)!!!
Robin Williams is so busy, constantly talking, that he just isn't funny after awhile. And then to have to swear to make his point, is just another negative against him...

Most of the ones today are not good enough to tell jokes without swearing. They don't have the talent of Laurel and Hardy or Red Skelton had.

He can be a little raunchy, yes.
One of my favorite comedians of all time, Groucho Marx, said that if you have to result to that kind of humor to get a laugh, you don't have talent. I tend to agree.
Dane Cook? Cute. But sucks at stand up. And it's because the greater percentage of his jokes are getting by on dirty.
Sad that people resort to that to get a laugh.

You do not have to use words like that to be funny. I don't know why people think they have to use words like that!!! To me it ruins the joke and it is no longer funny when they use such language. A person does not respect the others he/she are around when they talk like that. The morals are not what they use to be. People do not care!!!!

Yup! he can go overboard very quickly! And what's up with his stupid gig on recent awards cermony (i forgot which, could be Golden Globe)- he faked a a$$-snatch with Hale Berry and if he is not careful his own a$$ could be toasted.
