Having watched Oz and James big wine adventure, on the BBC. They visited a small Champagne house which was made in the back of a family ran garden. I am trying to find the name of the champagne house.
It was one of the last ones they visited on the programme and James bought a crate of the stuff. There was just one man and his brother in the garage when James bought the crates.Oz compaired it to KRUG. But the difference being it was only 10-15 Euros....Hence trying to find out. Please help ...???

The Champagne producer they visited (after Krug) was Compte Audoin de Dampierre - its website is http://www.dampierre.com/graphisme/Daemenco.asp

There are some excellent small Champagne producers and, since the French tax on sparkling wines is very low, the prices when bought in Champagne are very reasonable. I buy my Champagne from another small grower/producer - Raymond Boulard. http://www.champagne-boulard.fr/en/vineyard.htm

(Names of places visited by Oz & James are at http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/tv_and_radio/wineadventure_about.shtml )
