Of course most type of food poisoning takes a day or more to take effect. I was diagnoised with having servere food poisoning bad enough that it tore a small hole in my intestines. I had bad stomach pain and was throwing up 2 hours after I ate out at a Applebees. Which was the only thing I had eaten all day. What kind of food poisoning or what could it have been to cause pain a mere 2 hours after eating it?

Please dont say to ask my doctor this happened 3 years ago and my"file" was lost.

Any help at all would be great.

this is a food borne intoxication. A bacteria and its toxins were plentiful enough to cause immediate illness. Salmonella, shigella are possibilities, as are some vibrio species, and e coli of course.

The hallmark sign of food poisoning is becoming ill 2 hours after eating. I'm not sure where you got the 'one day to take effect' but thats not true. What food could have caused it? Well....anything really. Ingesting anything with bacteria could have done it but its more likely to find bad bacteria on meat, chicken or seafood.

I had salmonella once I have never been quite so ill in my life. And believe I been very sick at times in my life. It was so acute and horrible. I was projectile vomiting non stop, dizzy, diarrhea, sweating, lost my vision (temporarily along with my hearing). It came on very sudden within an hour of the meal. No one else got sick in my family. I had cooked chicken they said more than likely water from cleaning the chicken splashed into a mucous membrane but since I thoroughly cooked the chicken no one else got sick. I had to be taken to the hospital and I was vomiting so much my heart would stop when I would vomit (just for a second). It was horrible.

actually most food poisoning shows up around 2 hours after consuming the poison. you probably had ecoli. but not sure. there are a number of bad germs. ecoli is from workers not washing there hands before preparing food.

I don't mean to sound rude but, to know, we on the site would have to know what you had. Anything could have prompted it, since that was your only meal. Sorry my friend, you'll have to "guide your own boat" to figure this puzzle out.
