MUCH too young for toilet training.

Wait until he's at least 2.

YES he is ready for potty training. My daughter was the same way. She would always take her clothes and her diaper off and go to the bathroom on the floor. She didn't want anything to do with the potty either. You just have to take it slow you can't force him because it's only going to take longer. Do it gradually, when he goes on the floor tell him that you don't go on the floor you go in the potty and take him and set him on the potty. He'll start getting the hang of it. When he does go in the potty reward him with a cookie or something small and make a big deal about it. Start clapping and saying good job your going to be a big boy. This will reasure him that what he is doing is a good thing.
Good luck!!!

dont worry!! i have a 23mth old son. he does exacly the same thing and when i went to see the health visitor she said not to rush him as it is still early to potty train him, she said to maybe see if he will go and if he doesnt not to rush him or be disapointed in him as it will come to him. Just try him again with the potty in a few more weeks.

If the childs father is around it would be good for the son to watch his daddy when he goes for a wee so he knows what to do. i do it with my son and he knows what its for- only he will pee up the toilet as he is too small to reach, or maybe it is an idea to buy him a potty that sits into the toilet so when he gets the idea he can have a go. my son will tell my when his nappy is off that he needs to go as he knows not to pee on the floor so ill put him on the toilet and he will go.

just remember not to rush him though, he'll do it in his own time and its not like hes a slow learner

Defentley ready tyr putting him in pants you've already got a potty if he's not showing interest in it try using a star chart with him when he sits on the potty and does his business he gets a star when he gets so many stars he gets a treat.this will help him get use to the potty once he's mastered the potty try the same with the toilet get a stool so he can get on the toilet by himself if he has an accident dont make a big thing out of it but heap praise on him when he goes on the potty this will reinforce that the potty/toilet is good.xx

If he doesn't know he needs to go he is not ready foe potty training but it would be an idea to introduce a potty for him to play with so he is not scared of it, My 16 month old keeps taking his nappy off as well so i have started putting it on back to front. Good luck

Yes he is ready. My daughter kept taking her nappy off at 15 months when she was in her cot at night, so I thought bugger it. She was practically dry during the day. So nappies stopped and the bed was never wet. I think she was an exception as It was never that easy with my other 2. The eldest insisted on a nappy a 3yrs old to do a poo. That had to stop especially as her younger sister was completely clean. They are all different.

boys take longer than girls but the should be off the nappy by 24mths. try taking the nappy compleatly, not using any nappy at all during the whole day. remaind him how happy u'll be if he go to the potty and reward him with a big cuddle or smile when he's done it,NEVER WITH SWEETIES. Be constant and have patient

He is ready for toilet trianing-and this is a good time to start. Like adults, children will have a usual time when they have aq movement-so try to keep note when this happens, and put him on the potty at that same time everyday-possibly sitting with him reading a book,or have a DVD on for him. Be sure to give him loads of positive attention when he manages to get it into the potty. Of course, you will also use this time to try and train him to pee in the potty. In time-with praise and patience-he'll be potty trained.

Knowing when he has done it is the first stage of toilet training so yes I think he is ready. Also taking off his nappy is unacceptable and you need to let him know this, he can't keep having accdents on the floor!! That won't help his development

First talk to your doctor it could be an emotional problem.Explain to him what he's doing wrong and why it's wrong. You need to explain you have to go on the potty and make him sit there every 1/2 hour to avoid mistakes.Sometimes kids go through these crazy things but my daughter did something similiar and i thought nothing of it.But finally brought her to the doctor and now shes on meds for a year. It's just better to be absolutely sure something was wrong with her bladder and the doctor said its very very common.God bless I hope not with you but as a mom why not just check everything out to have aclear mind and a healthy child.God bless you and good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
