I am 22 years old and got something called preseptal cellulitis in my right eye about a month ago. That cleared up and then I got pink eye in the left eye. Then after 2 days that cleared up and then I got in the the right eye. For the past 2 weeks it seems like every 3 or 4 days i wake up with one eye crusty and red like I have pink eye and then I put the medicine in and by mid-morning it seems to be gone. I am so TIRED of this. I have changed all my make-up numerous times, washed my sheets numerous times, and sprayed lysol on every surface I touch everyday. What could be going on? Oh, my wisdom teeth have come in on one side of my mouth and one is possibly infected I think - could this be the reason?

I don't think that the wisdom teeth have anything to do with it.
This sounds crazy, but your drops could be contaminated. You should use a separate bottle of drops for each eye, to prevent contamination. The drops can get contaminated with the virus by holding them too close to your eye and the solution gets sucked back up in the bottle. So, in essence, you are putting that virus right back in your eye.

It does take a while to get rid of conjunctivitus once and for all.

Well I think maybe you have possibly infected the eye drops you have gotten by prescription. If your eye problem has not gotten a little better from the medicated drops in at least a week I suggest you see you doctor or go to a med. center. If you have changed your eye makeup sheets, pillow cases, eye glass cleaned counter tops in home wiped clean door knobs in the house and your vehicle. Then you have something more then pink eye. It would be best if you seen someone we only get one set of eyes. Good Luck stay Healthy. P. S. No its not your wisdom teeth and if you have a infection in a tooth or your mouth seek a dentist as soon as possible

Pink eye is cause by various things. Once you fight if off once you should be good. You could be coming in contact with something else, but that's a big coincidence i would think.

Having wisdom teeth come in, believe it or not, does cause a suppression in the immune system. Another possible reason for recurrent infection.

I would get another opinion and possible change in medication in case the cause of the pink eye is from something else, or something new.

Get the wisdom teeth looked at as they can cause other problems, not limited to damaging the teeth in front of them.

Good luck, and another thought came to mind, do you wear contacts?

Most likely unrelated to the wisdom teeth...just bad timing! Conjunctivitus can be caused one of 3 ways...viral, allergic, or bacterial. The viral and bacterial are very contagious. It's good that you changed your makeup and washed the sheets...maybe there is something else you're allergic to that is causing it? Try some claritin if that's the case. Do you wear contact lenses? Try changing the solution. Either way, before you go to sleep use some visine to hydrate your eyes and help to keep them clean.

It'll be ok with the aid of the next day to come. It is not red eye. What are the possibilities that the day you sleep with your contacts, is the day you get red eye? Buy an eye wash or flush the heck out of your eye in saline resolution. I would wear glasses for the day you probably have them. That means you will let your eye breathe better earlier than your date.
