well we use a dicktinary to like see what wordsmean and how to spell words.

I do not know why others use a dictionary. I use one or more to find definitions of words that are new or strange to me. I also use the dictionary to find pronunciation and useage information. Right next to my dictionary is a thesarus, which is useful when looking for words that mean the same thing and may be substituted for one that may have been used a bit too much.

to find the correct meaning of a words. i have one right next to my bed that i use. if i'm watching tv and i hear a word i don't know the meaning of, then sometimes i will look through the dictionary....i like knowing the dictionary defintion of words, b/c if someone tries to argue with you about a word, you will be confident that you know what it means. :)
