I met someone at a Halloween party and we have spent the last 2 months getting to know one another. All of a sudden the Friday before New Years they told me that they could not do this, they were investing too much in the "feelings dept" and I wasn't and that they didn't want to get hurt. Do you think, USUALLY, it's possible to love in 2 months?Do think that they were being truthful about the reason the broke it off? And I didn't even get a chance to explore my feelings on the matter...

I think it is possible to fall in love within 2 months.

I think 2 months is enough time to figure if you want to date a person or not. A relationship is give and take and the person you were dating was not feeling fulfilled. There is nothing wrong with that. Should that person stayed around for you to figure it out and then in the end know that it should end anyway? No. Break-ups are never nice someone always gets hurt.

Wow. That's a lot to ask a bunch of strangers. Who know's why they called it quits. Found someone else, weren't connecting with you the way they wanted, started feeling that it wasn't going to work long term because of ___________.?

Move on.
