I just watched a program on the military channel about the ten overall best helecopters. They were judged on various catagories. The AH-64 came out to be number one while the EH101 came out to be three or four. The majority of the helecopters on there were built by Augusta Westland. Personally I think that it's a "toolbox"; you pick the right tool for the job at hand.

Worlds best at what? The MH-60's are the best adaptable airframe adopted right now. Then we could get into the likes of the Commanche. Really, you need to be a bit more specific..

I dont think there isnt such a thing as a "best" chopper. only the best in its category. My favourites are:
Attack: AH 64-D Apache.
Utility transport: H 60 series (army, navy and so on.

For attack, currently the best is AH64 d Apache...too bad the Comanche program was cancelled by US army, otherwise it would have easily have beet the best attack helicopter EVER.
