So you guys have to follow orders right? what if, one day the revolution came about and your parents joined the resistance. And an order come to shoot to kill. You have to follow orders right? so would you kill your parents?

Stupid question.
First: given an order to shot a family member most people would refuse.
Second: Such a situation is wery unlikely to be, because soldiers on a mission dont get close enough to see who the people theyre shoting at is. If there would be a civil war marines for example would just be shooting at the "bad gays" that are trying to kill our president. Johan

This is a really stupid question! Marines do follow orders and are quite good at it but US Marines are also taught to think for themselves. I doubt many Marines would kill their parents but if they were on opposite sides of an armed conflict who can say what any individual might do. You should research US Marines and educate yourself about them and their "exploits". If I remember correctly John P Sousa was a US Marine so to generalize them as mindless, ignorant killers is wrong. And far from the reality.

Your question goes beyond the norm of what's right or wrong! In the event this scenario were to play out, the Marines would put someone else in the position to do the deed. So, go back to reading comic books, I believe you're too young to be playing in the league of responsible question and answers!

,war doesn't recognize who is on the opposing side,being a patriot i will do as ordered for the sake of my homeland because its worth dying for,I became a marine to serve and protect the country and the people who is on my side, i pledge allegiance to my flag,if my parents or siblings are on the opposite site they are my mission to go after,IM A PROUD MARINE
my question to you, have you ever cared about the people serving in the military who puts there lives on the line everyday just for you to have a safe and comfortable place to live and a coutry where you can complain and downgrade us as just lowlife dirty soldiers?
