The flood is a myth. With all that water you know that Noah would have drifted somewhere other than the middle east, yet everything in the bible takes place in the same geographic location.

The problem here is your interpretation.

Here is how we interpret the Bible:

We believe everything it says is literally true.

But if any part of it is proven to be untrue we simply figure out a way to reinterpret it so that it might have been true.

Some examples:

We know that the sequence of creation events in Genesis is incorrect and that many of the steps took millions or billions of years so what we do is say "when it says a day that doesn't mean a 24-hour day, it might mean any period of time".

There are a million and million ways to disprove the great flood story so we say "when it says the whole world and all the animals" it doesn't mean that, it just means a small area and a few animals".

So you see the problem is not in the Bible, just your interpretation.

Somebody has obviously filled your head with a lot of that fancy book learnin' and you need to put all that aside and put your faith in the one book that has all the answers, even if it needs almost daily revision to appear to be nothing more than incoherent rambling in light of new evidence.

Don't be to quick to brand something as nonsense when you have obviously not red the story. You should study the bible and know what you are talking about before you criticize. And believe me you can find lots to criticize. But don't just go off half ****** and think you know something you are ignorant of. Noah did not have to gather the animals. God provided them for him. If you had just taken a few minutes to read the story you would have known that. Now your credibility is shot to Hell. Why don't you just shut up and die. OO

It''s not a myth, but reality.
Noah didn't build the ark in a month! But in years, then sure he had time to gather all those animals.
It didn't use to rain at that time, till the flood came, and the Bible says that it covered the whole earth.
You can still find the ark in Ararat Mountain(Who is going to carry it up? Or build a boat up there?) So it was the flood that put it there

Maybe the entire earth wasn't populated at that time, and maybe since that time there have been new species introduced (evolved) all over the planet.

Why does science have to negate God? Why does science support more of the Bible's information than not?

Why do people have such a need to negate God, or recognize that something or someone bigger and far more intelligent than humans created all that there is?

Why, why, why?????????

God had a hand in it.... If you read how big the ark was and learn what cubics are then you would know that the ark was about 3 football fields long... First off if you would actually read the whole story in the bible then you would know and wouldnt have to ask it on here... why can't you read instead of asking other people their opinions... why not read what God has said!

No, go back and read the story again ... the word "world" is translated correctly, but with the wrong context. In the ancient Hebrew, when you said that the world was flooded, you meant the land as far as you knew. Don't forget their limited capability in understanding what the world was like.

Yes, the entire world was flooded. I was going to explain further about the selection of animals and other living entities that Noah had made, but your attitude of non-belief is too strong for me to elaborate further here.

It's not just the Great Flood you're doubting, but God's Word, and I won't try to convince you otherwise.

Contrary to popular belief, not every culture around the world has a flood myth. To say so is a blatant lie. The Bible flood is a rewrite of an earlier Babylonian myth that was adopted to tell a story to explain Hebrew history.

It covered the entire world.

Noah took animals aboard his Ark, but not ALL of them. Many died during the flood.

With God, all things are possible.

I wonder how long it would take a kangaroo to swim to the mid-East from Australia.....

Why did no Kangaroos stop in Africa on the trip back to Australia?

If all of the animals were ever in a central location wouldn't we find evidence of them along the migratory routes to the land in which they are now found.
