I was sic to hear that Tamil girls from S.India marry their mother's own brother and continue calling him Uncle! Then logically do Tamil boys also screw their father's sisters? Or marry them if they happened to be younger? I would consider my sister's daugther as my own daughter. I would feel sic to think of having sex or marrying her. It is shocking! I was told that this is not a pre-historic practice but continued even today! Is it true???

Yes... It happens there.. but not how it is mentioned here.. they can marry thier mother's brother.. .. but rest of all what you said is not true...and that does not happen so generally..

But.. they have the reason behind that.. Imagine poor families.. boys do not have money that they can feed any one more and girls family do not have any money for marriage, dowry etc.. so they get it settled within their family.. that's the cheapest thing they can think of.. and they will not need to feed one extra member..Thats why somewhere one girl is married to elder brother and other brothers can take her to bed.. they all are so poor and their land is very small .. which cannot be divided if they all have their seperate families..

Yes.. I agree that any normal will consider sister's daughter as your daugther. so I will.. but you see.. we are not in those circumstances.. so we can easily take our stand and come up with those decisions.. but imagine yourself there.. You or me might not even marry but that would not serve purpose.. ultimately we have been created to grow..

I hope you understood what I mean to say.. Thanks for providing me this oppurtunity to explain this to you..

before everything, do no longer equate South Indians with Tamil. There are 4 languages in South India, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam, and some smaller languages like Tulu, Konkani, etc. each language has its own massive religious literature, so there's no choose of any translation from Hindi. Now, as regards your question, the Hinduism in South and North variety in consumer-friendly words contained in the numerous rituals practiced at various of events. The Sanskrit texts said are an identical, an identical Ramayana, Mahabharata, Gita, Upanishads, Bhagavatam in South and North. the ameliorations are contained in the rituals performed for the duration of marriage, upanayana, and pooja. The varieties and names of Krishna worshipped in South and North are diverse. for sure, distinction does no longer, and may no longer advise conflict. distinction is in consumer-friendly words form. All of India is ONE, and all Indians could comprehend as a lot as achieveable about all of India.
