How to break up with a guy?

Question

i have been together with a guy for 3 month now.
and i'm tierd of him. all he wants is the physical side, i want some content as well. we don't have much i commomn, shared interest and conversation topics. i feel it's hard to tell him how i feel many times and i think he finds it hard telling me wht he wants sometimes. i just don't think we belong together and i should look for someone who suits me better.
but i don't want to hurt him, and i have no idea how to break up with him, what to say to him, how to explain it without hurting him.

There isn't much you can say that won't hurt him. Leaving him just to leave him won't hurt him as much as finding another guy that you're leaving him for. So leave him, and don't go out with another guy for a month or so, that time should be enough for him to get over it enough not to really get hurt. You definitely should be going for substance, you're making the right decision, after all, guys with substance and physically equipped to do the other part, and it's not always the other way around.

there is absloutly no way u can break up with a guy without hurting him! U just need to tell him the truth, tell him that u dont think u guys have ne thing in common, and that think it better if u guys were just friends.

p.s I went through this exact same thing, a couple weeks ago, it mey seem hard to do it at first, but once its over with, u will feel so much better!

You're not engaged or married to him, so you don't owe him anything. If your relationship is mostly physical, you won't be hurting his feelings - at most, you'll be hurting his male pride (he might think he wasn't skilled enough in the sack for you). He'll get over it, and it's not your job to worry about when that will happen.

Either just tell him that things aren't working for you and break things off, or if you want to make HIM break up with YOU (thereby sparing his feelings), start getting on his nerves - make him go places with you that a man wouldn't want to go to, or (if you're sure he doesn't want this himself) push him for a commitment. That should do it! ; )

I've had the same problem, but with someone I actually loved but wanted to keep dating. The best way is in person, it's hard as hell, but he won't think less of you. He might complain at first but realize you could of been unhonest and respect you for that. My boyfriend was crying at first and told me that he was really glad I told him before I went out dating again. (put yourself in his shoes, would you want a phone call break up?) Hope this helps!
