Maybe this is just me, but i find that when a bloke is chasing you or show's an interest that he likes you, and when you turn down his advances time after time, after awhile you start thinking of them in a way you didnt beforehand, and you end up dating, as soon as you start to like them back, they dont wanna know anymore, and you wonder wheter it was just a conquest just wrecks my head, because how will you ever trust a bloke if he keeps doing that to you. I'd like to hear other people's view's on this and see if I maybe think too much.

Some men like the chase, but not the kill...

For some people, male and female, the "chase" is the whole appeal...when they get what they wanted then they're done...there's no excitement for them anymore so they move on to the next chase...

It's not kewl, but it's hard for them to control how they feel in that regard...when they lose interest, they lose interest...but they don't want to stop chasing...I think they hope that maybe some day someone they "catch" will still be someone they'll want to get to know even after the chase is over...

I think the other responses are right on this one. Men are hard wired to chase. Just like when a lion hunts down its prey , when a man catches his prey it satisfies him for the moment but that quickly fades and they need a new object to pursue. Here is a bit of truth no one likes to hear...EVERYTHING IS A GAME!!! Whether you want to believe it or not. Another truth thats a little hard to swallow is ...We only want what we can't have!!! Think back to when you were a little kid and you were in a toy store and you saw a toy that you just had to have , as soon as you get it , you don't want it anymore. It's just the way we are. Learn to play the game , learn to be the prey that doesn't get caught!!

A lot of men are like this but in different doses. Treat em mean keep em keen! Don't take it word for word.. but basically even once he's got you.. you have to make your self a little hard to pin down for dates... say you're busy.. don't answer the phone EVERY time he calls or reply his texts immediately.. then the chase continues even when you're IN the realtionship! Watch how he'll start chasing you again.. even though you are his girl!

this is a really good question...I often wonder bout mysellf with the same one (i am a guy). that instinct came to us millions of yrs back when we were cavemen, men like us from then on like things that are challenging, the harder it is to get a girl the more love we have in them, so it's not like we dun like our "kill", its just the harder we achieve it the better we value it, so keep it at a distance a while b4 u take a move

They like the challenge, they like when you play hard to get but when they can finally get you they think your easy. Let them keep chasing you a while longer before giving in!

Some play the field, some like the chase, but, may be taken, others may feel they are in too deep & cannot handle what they have.

to get to know a person well, to create/explore togetherness (intimacy) requires a person to be vulnerable, in order to show the other who they really are. not everyone can do this; preferring to remain *in control*. which might seem like the position of strength. so a guy might well run off, it's a defence mechanism. ask the universe to connect you to your true love,. repeat your wish in bed at night before you go to sleep & believe that you deserve it . love is waiting for all those who truly desire it

Once you show interest, you kill the fun. The hunting is as sweet as stolen moments, once they become official, they lose the sweetness.

In some cases is because we only realise later that you are not as beautiful (physically and mentally) as we initially thought.

well not all men are like that. some are just too chicken to stick around because they like playing games. and in times like that most of them cannot be trusted and it is hard for them too to keep a relationship.
