There is serious concern among many experts that the appointment of Admiral Fallon and the increase in our navel task force in the Middle East is a precursor to an attack on Iran.

If Iran keeps up their blatant disrespect, it may be sooner than you think. I would be a little nervous if I was 18 to 29 and male.

Can you say draft?

Pres Bush will never order such an attack. The US does not have the manpower to do so succesfully. Iran is a formidable opponent, far more so than Iraq was. I doubt Israel attacks Iran either but I would not be surprised to see Iran have a catastrophic reactor accident or a highy successful terrosist attack. As you know the middle east is a complicated and dangerous region known for terror actions and treacherous actions.

That would be suicide. A conventional war against Iran on their home turf? Iran has enough troops right now to successfully invade and conquer Iraq. Not to mention they are looked favorably upon by Russia. Israel is more of a loose cannon in this situation and Iran knows it. They will try to pull Israel into a war as an excuse to drag the rest of the middle east into a broader conflict. I would bet they are eagerly awaiting a civil war in Iraq and a chance to intervene for a piece of the pie.

these iran questions are really getting old. i would hope that the US/israel is not stupid enough to attack/invade iran. is it wishful thinking when people ask these questions? an attack on iran would cause some serious problems in the world.

Well he best be sending in alot more troops than he is planning. 20,000 more soldiers? Thats not nearly enough to clean up Iraq much less take Iran.
Maybe 200,000 more troops, not 20,000.

Can you name these 'experts?'

They sound like idiots to me.

I really suggest that you do some research and find out what our strategy for Iran is. (Hint: our 'weapon of choice' involves our banking laws.)
