You don't bake it at first. Presuming that your lobster has not yet been cooked (you'll know by the colour - black, raw: red, cooked) drop it into boiling water and let cook fast for about eight to ten minutes. Let it cool enough to work with and split it in half. Remove the little airsac in the head. About twenty minutes before you want to eat it, butter the cut sides and either grill or roast for about ten minutes.

STEAM IT! In a large deep pot put about 1-1/2 inches of water, cover pot and bring to a boil, lift cover and drop in lobster, cover pot and let lobster steam for about 10 minutes. Serve with melted garlic butter and a cup of the steaming liquid on the side.
