Is it possible to have a world free of rivalry on account of faith?

To have a world free of rivalry on account of faith both the Christians and the Muslims need be finished because in the name of religion lot of human blood already shed since birth of Christianity - the Inquisitors and the Crusades in the name of 'love thy neighbour' and 'if someone slaps on the left cheek, show him the right' etc. etc . Hypocrisy of the worst order!
And the Islamic Jihad and international terrorism have forfeited their right to co-exist with others till they mend their attitude and learn to love the mankind as a whole.

I wish it would be so. However, it is almost impossible to say that we can have such world where all people have freedom of faith when we look at the today's picture.
There is an amazing hatred between supporters of different religions. Every side claims their beliefs are the best ones.
But no side close to establish a dialogue between the religions. If we want to express ourselves in a way that everone can understand us , all sides of different religions should come together and establish dialogoues among themselves.
If people can achieve this, we can have such a world.

Christians are not uniform even within their own churches and congregations.
Supervicially they smile and say they agree and believe the same things - but time and time again I have found if you dig down and get them talking to each other, so they start disagreeing amonst themselves.

I don't think it is the belief system that causes the problem, I think it is the militant interpretation of an angry uninformed few that is causing most of the violence. If terrorism were stopped tomorrow I am sure even Palestine could coexist - friends from the region have told me this.

only Muslims could kill off all those extremists, and they do not seem keen enough to do so.
and the way things are going, in a hundred years many European countries will have Arab names instead of the names they have now.

the world lives under one rule, one god.
it is you, me, him, them, us...that gives more "colors" to the truth.
and you will be amazed how the so called "creativity" inside each of us will get us to.
George Romero dreams of a "world demise" where we will be eaten alive by the zombies.
when it is not far from the truth...even as we speak...most of us did not hesitate "eating" our kind.
go figure.
