Yes, it can cause such things as Oral Candidiasis. Same thing as a yeast infection, it just chose another place in your body to live instead of where it is traditionally found.

From what I know, anti depressants can cause fungus inside the mouth. As why your dentist advised you not to use listerine, it's because listerine contains alcohol. Alcohol is a dehydrating agent and can cause you to have dry mouth. Your body will fight the fungus away but alcohol will be an obstruct to it. Don't worry, just continue to maintain good oral hygiene, brush and floss everyday. =)

Usually it is a sign of being run down medically. Bunk yourself up by eating some yoghurt with the live cultures in it (A and B) or if you don't like these then drink some Yakult each morning. Just rinse your mouth out with cool water after eating and make sure you drink alot of water. There are anti fungal creams on the market but doctor prescribed, so see your GP aswell :)

Antidepressants don't cause fungus. Poor health and too much sugar can cause fungus. Poor health also contributes to depression/anxiety. If you want to get well again, don't expect the drugs to do it, they won't. Only a good health regime and lots of properly applied cognitive therapy will do the trick. Here's my story: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/AntidepressantThatWorks.html

The only medicine that I know of that can cause "thrush" (yeast in the mouth) is Advair and other inhaled steroids. If you use these and don not rinse your mouth afterward, you can develope thrush! However, babies get it all the time, so who really knows what all can cause it??

Actually the opposite is true. Yeast can cause depression.
If you have yeast in your mouth you have yeast in your intestines.
Do you crave sugar? this feeds it
Do you have fatigue?
