I have tried many options but still she doesn't seem to appreciate me. Desperately need help!

is your guy her favourite/only son unmarried?
well... sometimes a mother fear too much that her son will dwell too much in a relationship and will soon forget her.
you must let her feel that you are not going to take away her son...and instead you will be her daughter.
try to organise outings between the 3 of you... bring her to places she like, eating or just plain gathering. try to get involved in her life but it cant be you doing all these alone... try to get your guy to join in as well. then once a while suggest that your guy would like to bring her out for dinner with you along or smt and had sent you back home to fetch her. [watching shows at home is not counted.]
let her feel that she is important to the both of you... and that her son is doting her more and more because of such a lovely & sensible wife-to-be.
it will be hard at first... but after some time... seeing the difference in her son and your sincerity... things will get better.

well dear do not be surprised if she never appreciates you...she may be a bit jealous...the best thing for you to do is just continue on with your marriage when you say I do ...and do not mingle very much with her...let her come to you when she feels like being a nice lady...cause if you go to her all the time she may let you down...just live your life and let her live hers...yes a bit jealous she maybe...you do not need to worry so much if you know you are in the right ..some mother in laws can really be a real pain but to stay away from her if she cannot be kind you do not need a person to treat you bad...tell your husband when she hurts you in anyway and maybe he can have a talk with the woman...take care

Not everyone acts the same way. Some people will never appreciate what they have unless they have a comparison. I would just act like you always do, but not expect approval. Trying to live up to someone else's standards will be exhausting. Just be nice, treat her like you do your own family, and then your husband has no reason to resent that the relationship isn't perfect.

you have to gang up with her on your fiancee. Keep putting yourself in awkward situations where you and her are alone, keep a smile on your face, don't talk too much. ask her about her son; asking to see baby pictures is always a big winner. basically, act like her little clone.
I know, it's kind of a shady tactic. But mothers are just as possessive of sons as fathers are of daughters. You have to make her comfortable with the idea of passing the reins to you. That makes her your worst enemy, but at the same time the most important person from his side of the family.

Mother in laws are always not 100% satisfied , they think ur taking her son away.What you should try is to get her flowers, take her out for dinner or lunch with you twice a month.Make her feel comfortable with you.Always be nice to her and listen to her. Thats how i won my mother in laws heart :)

Nothing you can do will appease her aside from going away forever. You two have social roles that put you at permanent odds with each other, so just be polite and courteous and leave it at that. She'll never like you no matter how nice she may act, you're stealing her little boy away and that's how she'll always see it.

Quit trying! Do you want to spend a life time trying to get someone to like you, that probably never will?

What is the faults she finds in you? are you too demanding? Well, she has her heart over the one she raised( your fiancee). But she must have been brought up the traditional way! Try making some drinks, meals to please her and eventually she will see the best in you! Give it a try!

Take my advice and quit trying to please the B-tch! Cuz you never will! NO matter what! She is stuck on "STUPID"! So leave it at that! Just be who you are and DON'T waste anymore of your time trying to be appreciated by a "JEALOUS OLD HAG"! The best thing you can do is........MARRY HER SON! Then she can play her role LEGALLY! HA!
