Yes, it is ok.

Adult food contains all of the same stuff, just more - more calories, more protein etc. I even spoke to a pet nutritionist who, and it turned out she wasn't the only one, believed large breeds prone to hip dysplasia are actually better off with adult food.

No it's not OK. A puppy needs a lot of nutrition that only a high quality puppy food can provide. You should get your dogs on a feeding schedule.

Feed the adult dogs in the morning and night (maybe afternoon depending on breed and size) at a certain time and feed the puppy at a different time.

You need to make sure the puppy gets his food only. He need what the puppy food will give him. As long as it is a good puppy food. You need to start feed the adult dogs once or twice a day instead of free feeding them.you will be able to tell if one dog is getting the right amoun of food for him or her. This will make sure that the puppy will not get sick from eating food that has not been left outside.

I have always fed my young dogs adult dog food. I feed Canidae and I believe it's excellent for that purpose. I also believe that in the wild there is no such thing as puppy food and all dogs eat the same thing. I do not think that feeding puppies "adult" food will do any harm to them.

Well, just don't let them eat too much. Usually it's nothing to worry about. My dog eat's cat food, nothing happens! Just make sure the puppies don't act fishy after eating the adult food.
