when i got home from work lastnight my boyfriend informed me that my kitten ate his salsa! he had left it out on the coffee table when he got up to get something to drink, by the time he got back a good bit of it was gone. I looked at the indregients to make sure there was no onion powder. Im a little worried about him, he seemed fine again this morning...should i worry to just expect him to get the shits?

Hi there...most likely your kitten may get a bad case of diarrhoea for a couple days. Please keep a close watch on him to be certain he is getting plenty of fluids to rehydrate himself if he does suffer diarrhoeal effects.

I had a cat once who loved pickles! It didn't seem to bother him at all. But salsa can be a bit spicy, which could upset his stomach. Keep an eye an him for a day or two, but he'll probably be fine, at the worst ,have diarrhea. If you get worried about him for any reason, call the vet.

My cat loves salsa and spicy chili. We don't give it to him but he steals it if you leave the room for a second. He is fine. One and a while he gets the shits otherwise he is fine. So I am sure your kitten will be fine.

i don't see their being any problem as long as their were no onions in it. My cat stole and ate some of my chips before that had salsa on them and he was fine. No bathroom problems or anything. Just keep an eye on him.

your cat should be fine, animals can eat stuff we can't. they catch mice, and birds and eat them raw. I don't think salsa will hurt it.
