Now put the 6lb line through the loop and pull it through.

Try a different brand of hook, as over the years I've found the eyes on some brands are slightly bigger than others.. e.g. won't double through with DRENNAN Super Specialist freshwater hooks, but will with MUSTAD Kirby pattern #1665

once you're estuary fishing on airborne dirt and dust residences, then I presume you're objective species will be flatfish, eel, perchance small bass. reckoning on the action of your rod, and its suitability for estuary fishing, i.e. no longer a very heavy duty sea coast-caster, then i might want to assert some thing contained in the ten-12lb bracket might want to be fantastic. it truly is no longer as once you're going to come back across many snags or abrasion from rocks. integrate this with a suitable *marvel-chief (needed), a minimum of two times the dimensions of your rod, and also you're good to flow. *10lb breaking rigidity in step with ounce of lead + 10lb is a chance-free wager - 3 oz..lead = 40lb chief.
