I have been recommeded to eat high fiber food and wheat spaghetti
is on the top 10 list. Isnt all spaghetti made out of wheat?

Typcally, yes. Most of the pastas you'll find are made from durum semolina. This is wheat, but it's a coarsely ground product from the durum wheat variety. This variety is high in Gluten and Protien which makes the pasta hold togehter very nicely. However in this variety the Bran and Germ have been removed, lowering the fiber and nutritional values.

WHOLE wheat refers to the useage of the whole grain. Keeping the Bran and Germ, allows this porduct to be of greater nutrient value. The same logic is applicable to bread.

Ronzoni now is making whole wheat pasta, it's brown not white and probably has more fiber than regular white pasta.

No, my son has a wheat allergy, and if you go to the health food bulk stores, you will find different pastas made from other grains.

I think so but the fiber is not bleached out of some

No some are made from egg yolk.
