Yes,he did, but he also knew that 'truth' is beyond words and must be experienced. That is the only way. He came to bear witness, that this Truth that people were speculating about, did exist, and those who have experienced this truth would recognize his parables.-----he also knew Pilate wouldn't understand...

Of course he knew it but he also knew wether Pilate really wanted to know the truth or not so this may be the reason he didn't say what truth is! But the truth is in the Bible for all to see if they want to know it! Do you really want to know?

First off, You are combining a present tense sentence with past tense words. Take a language class, plz :D

What he is saying in that sentence is that people who know the truth are those that listen to him. Now remember, his truth might not be the same as others.
