Travelling within the UK - Newcastle to Bristol Airport?

I'm English and hold my UK passport but at the moment it's being renewed so I don't have it. I need to book a flight from Newcastle to Bristol, does anyone know if my driving licence will suffice as I.D? Everyone has told me I don't need my passport to travel within the UK, but just wanted to double check before I book anything. Thanks.

You need photo ID and a new style driving license is fine. The old style (no photo) is not ok.

As you are only travelling nationally I think your drivers licence will be fine.
