no, it doesn't seem fair, especially when they expect the friends to be there when everything goes pear-shaped, and then it happens all over again when they meet someone new.
Although, I can't help but think that I would act in the same way, if I was in their situation. Why not arrange to do things that you can all join in - i.e. group outings instead of just the two of them.
That way, you can get to know their other half as well.

I thinks its sad as even though you might luv them etc you should still have a life outside of that relationship.... i dont mean cheating i mean other interests like sport, catching up with friends they had before they met their partner etc.
But even though i think its a bit sad some people are more co-dependant and cant be by themselves.... i guess that's what makes us individuals but its just not for me.

Some people are just destined to be together always. People who find the right person (their..soulmate) feel that their partner is not only their companion or lover, but also their best friend...and then, they may not have a need for other friends :) I don't see how this is wrong...whoever it is you're talking about...you should congradulate them and be happy for them!
f*ck off with your ratings. If you didnt want to see what everyone thought, then why ask the question? dumb b*tch

Yeah, its right and its cool, if that's how they feel about each other. Is it healthy? Only time can tell. One thing is for sure though, a partner is yours for as long as it lasts, but a friend is for life. In my opinion, a true friend will understand, be there and be happy for them. Not my cup of tea, but then who am I?
Live and let live!

I think it's up to the individual- some need it more than others, I do find it frustrating though. I have a friend who will never organise anything with my unless her partner already has plans- it makes me feel like I'm a bit of a last resort. I love to do things with my boyfriend. but when I have friends up to visit, I always make sure he gives us some time apart, I like to have 'girly' time as well.

Its not normal. You cant have anything to say if you never see any other person. What would you talk about? sounds like one is controling the other maybe.
