i went to the gym the other day (i have'nt gone since October) and the Personal trainer said that my body will be used to the workout and it will get back to the way it was.... it that true...and please explain muscle memory

He is only urging you to continue with the daily workout for ever and ever....to maintain the latest shape u r having against that particular muscle....

I would anticipate a metaphor here....; i.e., if u do not continue with relevant workout, the muscle will (sort of speak) remember how its original shape was, and will undoubtedly come back to how it was...
