it really slows down my system

well, since it solved a lot of security problems i was able to take advantage of; yeah it sux in that regard. but i like it for the integrated wirless networking software. the security center is annoying tho :-/
anyway, no, it does not slow down your system. more likely YOU slow down your system by visiting tons of sites that manage to get massive ammounts of spyware or adware onto your system.
PEBKAC is what the problem is called.

sp2 is made for covering the balnk holes of xp,
despite that you must need a good security suite.
just dfrag ur pc,run disk cleanup,clear cookies,and delete fonts which r not in use.

The problem is know there alot program come out that make have SP2.
