Swimming is a great way to work out and it is very easy on the body. Check your local pool to see if they offer any sort of water aerobics. Good Luck!

Hi Darl, 1stly Congratulations On The Baby. Aquarobics Is Great Exercise As The Water Resistance Helps In All Kinds Of Ways & Swimming Would Also Be Great As long As You Can Build Up The Number Of Laps You Do Steadily. I Know That time Is A Big Factor When You Have A Baby And It's Not Always Easy To Fit Things In. Walking 10,000 Steps (Approx 9Km Depending On Length Of Stride) A Day Is Recommended And Providing Your Knees Are Ok, The More The Better!
I Hope You Find This Helpful Darl. Have A Gooday And A Beaut 2007!

Walking is a great start, every week increase your mileage.
Make sure you have a good pair of shoes, that will help your knees. If your pushing you child in a stroller your already starting strength training, as your child becomes older the weight becomes more and in time you will drop those unwanted pounds.
Hope this helps.
